Description: "The Bard of Bengal", "Kobiguru" and "Gurudeb" are a few of the numerous titles given to arguably the most prolific poet, writer, playwright, composer, philosopher and painter Bengal has witnessed. To commemorate his day of remembrance, Rabindra Jayanti, the students of class 11 put up a wonderful programme. It encompassed a variety of the laureate's works from the portrayal of one of his poems, "Abhisara: The Tryst" to recitation of verses from the Gitanjali, from a group song to a group dance, both based on his compositions and finally our national anthem, again his work, played on the flute. It will not be wrong to say that the event aptly painted a vibrant picture of the "Biswokobi" and his perpetual contribution to literature.
