Description:
In a spirited celebration of Van Mahotsav, the students of Class 10 A put together a thought-provoking and visually impactful assembly in the school auditorium. More than just a cultural performance, the assembly served as a powerful reminder of our duty to protect and preserve the green cover that sustains all life. The highlight of the morning was a unique dance-drama, where expressive movements blended seamlessly with narrative storytelling. Through this captivating performance, students portrayed the journey of a once-thriving forest—lush, vibrant, and full of life—slowly deteriorating due to unchecked deforestation. The skit sensitively depicted how man’s greed and disregard for nature disrupt the balance of the ecosystem, leading to consequences such as habitat loss, soil erosion, and climate change. The assembly struck a fine balance between artistry and awareness. Students used minimal props but maximum emotion to drive home the message that when forests fall, the ripple effect touches all life on earth—plants, animals, and humans alike. The performance concluded with a hopeful note that it’s never too late to take action. Placards bearing messages in the importance of trees echoed the call for environmental responsibility. The assembly left the audience deeply moved and introspective, reminding everyone that Van Mahotsav is not just a festival—it is a call to action.
